We've tried to cover the more common questions but...
if there's something you're just dying to ask, let us know.
We'll update and add below as we get more questions or need to offer clarification.
What is the scare factor?
Overall, the party is family friendly. There were definitely a few additions from last year but along the same lines. Witches, ghosts, skeletons, things of that nature. all giants from home depot, no high gore or scare factor. The new guys are pretty cool, though. Not sure where they're all going to go, but they're all going up.
The haunted attraction is a bit of a step up. there is not only movement, but flashing lights and air cannons. there are variations that take it from mild to scary. It is completely contained so no risk of accidental scares for those not participating.
the maze has also been revamped a bit to a labyrinth. this means the maze will be to the center of a circular structure and you must return the same way you entered. Okay, I was wrong. Got vetoed there. Slightly larger maze, slightly more complicated than last year, but separate entrance & exit.
Is it a scavenger hunt or a mystery?
Neither. This year we'll have a small haunted attraction. It is intended for a few riders at a time and will be running most of the night (with adult supervision, of course).
What about food?
This year we'll be bringing in a food truck (on us) with the use of wristbands. If you're interested in purchasing additional food and drinks, we will have additional wristbands to sell. You can find the food truck menu here. If there are any dietary restrictions or allergy concerns, please share those with us so we can make proper arrangements with the team at The Mean Weenie.
Cider and donuts (along with coffee and hot cocoa) are included in the food trucks.
S'mores will be available out by the fire pits as a build your own free for all.
What can we bring?
Just your fabulously costumed selves. We will cover everything else.
Will there be anything else?
We are trying. there are a few additional items that we are going to try to incorporate but do not include as they are not guaranteed.
Will we be experiencing the same amount of chaos as last year?
Yes, of course. We're forever making bigger plans than we can pull off. Oops. We like to think we've made things a bit more simplistic this time around to reduce the worst of the chaos but pretty sure we'll still screw up something.
Oh, you mean that other "chaos" where some things got trashed and teams weren't able to complete their hunt. We've taken care of that. First, no hunt. Second, no foot traffic on the trails.
We hope you'll give us a pass on that little blip last year and join us again this year.
